Florida Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses

Updates on the Governing Document as of 10 13 18 Please Read and Comment

Posted over 5 years ago by Thais Forbes

Fellow Coalition Members!  At our quarterly coalition meeting today, one of the workgroup's proposals was presented.  The goal is modernizing and streamlining the old (existing) document into one more welcoming and inclusive to strengthen our Coalition's position of representing all APRN groups/specialties.

Please read the new shorter "operating document" that was presented today, which is posted in the "members only" section (see tab in menu bar at left).  Also posted is a sample description of the Consensus Model of DecisionMaking that is in use with a national non profit group (as this type of decision making is referenced in both the old and new governing/operational documents)

Although there was discussion about the new document, no consensus was reached as yet on a new/updated document.  So our Coalition CoChair Ed Briggs has tasked the gov document workgroup with continuing work and making any additional recommendations/presentation(s) at the next quarterly meeting in January for consideration by the members.

It would be much appreciated and very helpful to our work if all members would please read these documents (again, they are posted in the members only tab of the website in the menu bar to your left).  Please share your comments by emailing the workgroup chair Mai Kung   mkungdnp@gmail.com

We welcome your comments on both the governing document and the new operating document (both posted in the "members only" tab here in the Florida Coalition website.  Please feel free to email me if any questions or difficulty accessing the "members only" section of this Coalition website:   trforbes@tampabay.rr.com

Thank you!

Thais Forbes, President Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurses Council and Member Document Workgroup
